Welsh - Rhondda Cynon Taf has a culture and heritage to be proud of!

Welsh text goes here - And to celebrate this, the Council’s Libraries & Museums Service is in the process of developing a Blue Plaque Heritage Trail illustrating the famous people, events and landmarks of the county borough.

Following more than a year of consultation with community representatives and historical societies, an audit was carried
out to catalogue all existing memorials, statues and plaques in Rhondda Cynon Taf. A total of 30 Blue Plaques will be initially installed in the first phase of the project at those locations not already recognised with previous plaques or memorials.

Nominations for the new scheme were sought from communities throughout the county borough and the Project Steering Group had the unenviable task of deciding which areas would receive the first phase of Blue Plaques.
